Bill Burns named CEO of Independent Warehouse Distributors, LLC

Independent Warehouse Distributors, LLC (IWD) has named Bill Burns as its chief executive officer, effective immediately. He succeeds former CEO Bruce Tavik, who left the position after the sale of the business.

Burns has risen through the ranks with IWD since 1986, and most recently served as the company's executive vice president. Burns also has served on numerous vendor advisory councils and the automotive committee of AAIA, as well as the CFS board of directors. He is currently on HDAW's joint operating committee.

IWD is composed of the Auto Pride Automotive Division and the Truck Pride Heavy Duty/Fleet Division with over 800 member locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. IWD distributes national branded merchandise and offers comprehensive purchasing and marketing programs for major fleets and professional repair businesses through their Auto Pride and Truck Pride members.
