Chilton, part of Cengage Learning and an established leader in reference sources for automotive professionals and Do-It- Yourself (DIY) automotive enthusiasts, announced the release of Chilton 2011 Labor Guide: Domestic and Imported Vehicles (ISBN: 978-1-1115-4291-7; List Price $224.95) and Chilton 2011 Labor Guide CD-ROM (ISBN: 978-1-1115-4294-8; List Price $234.95).

These new reference manuals from Chilton provide labor times that are among the most trusted in the industry, and all vehicle makes and models included conform to current Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) standards.

Chilton 2011 Labor Guide: Domestic and Imported Vehicles manual set and Chilton 2011 Labor Guide CD-ROM cover more than two decades of repair time information for vehicle models ranging from 1981 through 2011. This new 2011 edition has been updated with new vehicle models and labor operations to keep industry professionals current with new technologies. The guides were created with consideration for warranty time, component location, component type, technicians' work environment, the training they receive and the tools they use when calculating a labor time. Additionally, to allow for vehicle age, operating conditions and type of service, the Chilton 2011 Labor Guide provides standard and severe service times, plus Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) warranty times.

In addition to the accurate labor times included in the print version, the CD-ROM version also includes:
  • Parts List to simplify adding parts to an estimate or work order.
  • Keyword Search Engine allowing users to input a search term and quickly find the information they need within the database.
  • Quick Search Function which allows users to select a year, make and model, and be taken directly to the labor information they need.
  • Calendar Feature to quickly locate work requests by day, week and month.
"The Chilton Labor Guide is highly regarded as one of the most trusted resources in the industry," said David Koontz, publisher, Chilton. "With more than two decades of repair time information, and the added convenience of a print or CD-ROM version, this new labor guide from Chilton has proven itself to be an essential resource for any automotive professional."
