HONDA: 2006-07 Accord Hybrid

SUBJECT: MIL illumination with P0300 or codes P0301 through P0306 indicates a misfire. The cause is most likely a software problem, and new software is available to correct the fault. The program update (CJA690) is available at www.techinfo.honda.com for use with HDS Software Version 2.020.022 or later. Bulletin 10-007

VOLKSWAGEN: 2006-07 GTI and Rabbit

SUBJECT: Windows and/or door locks that don't operate might be caused by a problem with the door control module. The problem can be caused by disconnecting the battery, by trying to start the engine with a low battery or even by an extended period of time without vehicle operation. The door control module "enter(s) an undefined state." In other words, it loses its learned settings. The bulletin calls for testing and/or replacing the battery before resetting the door control modules. The bulletin describes the module reset procedure in detail. Bulletin 57 10 03
