Permatex has just launched a new website designed to help consumers find easy, repair solutions that they can do themselves.

The website, www.permatexrepair.com, currently features 13 repair kits and offers solutions to restore cloudy headlights, refinish damaged alloy wheels, repair small bullseyes and chips in windshields, reattach rearview mirrors, seal leaky fuel tanks, radiators and plastic window washer reservoirs, fix stripped threads, reconnect broken rear window defoggers, patch up cracked fiberglass and repair torn vinyl and leather.

“In addition to step-by-step instructions, we’ve included how-to videos for several of the repair kits, so consumers can see, first hand, exactly how to fix the problem themselves and avoid taking them to a professional repair shop," says Adam Cincotta, Permatex product manager. "Our ‘Which kit is right for you’ section provides a quick overview for all the kits and where they can be used on the vehicle.”

The new website also has a special "Where to buy" section to help customers easily find the Permatex Repair Kit they need at the nearest retailer. Permatex products are sold in auto parts, hardware, and grocery stores, as well as mass merchants and discount outlets.

Permatex has also launched a promotion to help get more repair ideas from consumers. From now until Oct. 16, 2010, Permatex will be conducting a weekly sweepstakes that gives consumers a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to their local auto parts store and free Permatex products. No purchase is necessary. Consumers can go to www.permatexrepair.com, submit their ideas for a new Permatex repair kit, and be part of a weekly drawing.
