Raybestos Powertrain continues R&D spending
Raybestos Powertrain has committed to investment in research and development (R&D), despite the difficult economy, the company states.
The company says its in-house engineers are able to take advantage of the company’s upgraded technical center facility in Crawfordsville, Ind., to develop new and innovative product solutions for a range of passenger car, light and medium duty truck, heavy-duty and high performance automotive applications.
“The Raybestos Powertrain name has become synonymous with quality and innovation, and our engineers and management are dedicated to upholding this reputation,” says Raybestos Powertrain President John Butz. “We have made product and materials innovation a top priority since day one, and will continue to produce the most advanced friction materials, filtration products and electrical components on the market.”
Raybestos Powertrain’s ongoing commitment to R&D helps the company maintain an innovation edge over the competition. Over the years, Raybestos Powertrain’s R&D efforts have produced next-generation products like the company’s Z-Pak™ clutch system, dual wet clutch technology, and patented X-32™ friction material.
“Innovation is not only important for Raybestos Powertrain, but for the industry as a whole,” says Raybestos Powertrain CEO Daniel Gaston. “In this business, and in this economy, investment in research and development isn’t just important, it’s imperative.”
