DiamondBack Truck Covers has changed some of its business model and now will be shipping product direct to dealers nationwide.
The company reports it made the decision in order to provide lower costs and higher dealer margins. The new change enables dealers to purchase products at a lower cost, ensures direct from manufacturer support, and introduces new MAP pricing (providing higher margins).
Along with these enhancements, DiamondBack will be providing faster service to many areas of the country, it reports.
DiamondBack will also be offering dealers the opportunity to join its new Preferred Dealer program. This new status will provide dealers with exclusive territories for online promotion and sales leads in addition to many benefits such as Direct Marketing Support. DiamondBack states that it believes that by combining this with the changes in price, their dealers will be able in increase sales in a struggling economy.
“While we still maintain good relations with our distribution sources, we believed that the changing dynamics of the Truck Accessory Market required a new approach in 2009,” DiamondBack’s President, Ethan Wendle, says. “By moving to a direct to dealer sales channel, we can position our products more competitively and generate higher profits for our dealers”
All Pricing and policy changes went into affect Jan. 1. For more information, visit www.diamondbackcovers.com.
