Transmission distributor group elects new board

The General Assembly of Members of the European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) elected their new Board of Directors at the association’s 10-year anniversary Annual Convention in Brussels earlier in the fall.

Manfred Beitel took on his new position of president for the next two years, supported by EPTDA’s Past President Roberto Cugnaschi’s experience and knowledge. Beitel was a past PTDA (EPTDA’s U.S. affiliate) member before he joined the EPTDA back in 2001.

“I am keen on leading this successful association into its new decade," he says. "After 10 years of existence, EPTDA can be proud its exceptional development and growth. I trust that, together with the Board of Directors and the continuous support of our members, EPTDA has a bright future ahead."

 
EPTDA’s leadership team for 2009 is composed of David Bassas Del Rey (Tecnotrans, Spain) --  first vice president; John Westerling (S&N Osakeyhtiö, Finland) - treasurer; Karl Weindinger (ContiTech Antriebssysteme GmbH, Germany) - manufacturer council chair; David Harrow (Godiva Bearings, UK), Henrik Göpert (AB Sverull, Sweden), Mehmet Ali Ülgen (Silkar Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., Turkey) and Mr. Dick Winkelhuis (Spruit Transmissies, The Netherlands) as directors at large.
 
The European Power Transmission Distributors Association also announces its 2009 calendar of events -- All Committees’ Days & Executive Development Seminar, March 26-28 in Malta; joint EPTDA/PTDA pavilion at Hannover Fair, April 20-24 in Germany and its 12th Annual Convention themed “Excellence in Relationships," September 23-25 in Rome, Italy. Besides these key association and industry events, EPTDA will release the 2009 edition of its Blue Book -- cutting-edge, printed colour membership directory.
