Alcoa Automotive Wheels is expanding its aftermarket catalog to include three new wheel lines for full-size trucks The company now offers its Discovery Series, Revolver Series and Xtreme Series for current and later-model larger trucks, including the Chevrolet and GMC 2500/3500, Dodge 2500/3500 and Ford F-250/350. Each wheel is available in 20x9, 8-lug fitments with a Dura-Bright technology surface option. Offered for the first time in the aftermarket, Dura-Bright is a patented wheel surface treatment that continually resists brake dust, dirt and road grime allowing drivers to maintain their wheels with minimal maintenance, according to Steve Carlson, director of global marketing. “Dura-Bright technology has been recognized for its ease of maintenance benefits in the commercial vehicle and heavy truck segments for many years and more recently with leading Global automotive OEMs. We are now able to offer this patented innovation for the first time directly to owners of full-size trucks,” Carlson says. The Discovery Series features a rounded spoke design to compliment the appearance of trucks used to tow recreational vehicles, including large boats and camping trailers along with outfitting self-contained RVs. The Revolver Series, with a split-spoke design, was developed for full-size truck owners who are looking for a forged aluminum wheel to compliment the other appearance upgrades on their trucks. The Xtreme Series is for truck owners looking for an aggressive wheel appearance for rugged use. All three wheels feature a deep lip to further accentuate the strong machine detailing on each wheel. Designed, engineered and tested specifically for full-size trucks, the three lines of wheels are forged from one piece of 6061-T6 aluminum for increased durability and strength while reducing overall wheel weight for better suspension response and greater fuel economy, according to Carlson. Each wheel comes with an Alcoa center cap and matching lug nuts and a warranty program. They are all manufactured in the United States. For more information, visit www.strongwheels.com. |
