Oil Purification Systems recently announced that the Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership (CQIA) has recognized the company with its silver level Innovation Prize.

OPS received the honor based on its OPS-1 on-board oil refining system, which removes the solid and liquid contaminants from engine oil, virtually eliminating the need for routine oil changes. This is the second consecutive year OPS has been recognized by CQIA as a leader in innovation.

The Connecticut Quality Improvement Awards are America’s oldest state-level awards, and are judged based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence.

The CQIA recognizes accomplishments during the first stages of the quality journey for all Connecticut-located organizations. It is meant to stimulate interest in organizations to implement quality while fostering recognition of innovative improvements.

“We are pleased to receive the CQIA Innovation Prize for the second year in a row,” says Mitch Weseley, OPS president and CEO.

This year’s winners will be recognized at the CQIA Partnership’s 21st Annual Conference on Quality and Innovation, Nov. 7 at Water’s Edge Resort in Westbrook, Conn.
