Continental Tire North America, Inc. has launched ENGAGE 360, an interactive online training center in the industry.
Originally announced at CTNA’s Gold Dealer sales meeting last spring, ENGAGE 360 is an ongoing program designed to give tire dealers a complete 360-degree look at Continental and General tires -- from the basics to advanced tread technology to selling skills and more. “Our goal is to equip our dealers for success. In the tire business, knowledge is power. And ENGAGE 360 gives them easy access to all training materials and videos,” says Amy Spears, sales training manager, Passenger/Light Truck Division, CTNA. “Engage 360 is innovative and leading-edge; there is nothing else like it in the tire industry.” The program is based around a virtual training center, with separate “rooms” for each brand. In turn, each brand includes individual modules that cover specific products, tire basics, and an overview of CTNA. Once they view all of the training materials and videos, dealers will have the opportunity to take a brief test that allows them to score ENGAGE 360 Reward points and become certified in that particular tire or topic. Points can be redeemed for Engage 360 wearables or toward other great prizes. “We’ve designed the program to be extremely user-friendly,” Spears continues. “Training modules and videos are available 24/7, allowing users to run the program at their convenience. And because ENGAGE 360 saves users’ account information, they can simply continue right where they left off. Once they complete a section, they’ll earn certification and points. And the more they learn, the more they’ll earn.” In addition to module training materials and tests, ENGAGE 360 provides “hidden opportunities” to score bonus points. Simply roll the cursor over features in the virtual training rooms. Bonus items will pop up on the screen. Answer correctly and earn additional ENGAGE 360 Reward points.
