Auto/Mate Dealership Systems announced today that it has completed the integration of GM's Parts Workbench with its Automotive Management Productivity Suite (AMPS). The new interface allows Auto/Mate dealer customers to quickly and easily place, access, track and modify GM parts orders via the Internet through the AMPS dealership management system.

"With almost half of a dealer's operating profits coming from its service and parts department, getting a new service like this up and running as fast as possible is critical for our GM dealership customers." says Mike Esposito, president of Auto/Mate, who adds that this is one of several integration projects the company has been working on to keep AMPS 100% OEM compliant.

Parts Workbench is a secure Web service that replaces GM's Rapid system for parts ordering with more features and functionality. It contains separate interfaces specially designed to speed up the parts submission and delivery process, and eliminate artificial bottlenecks.

The interfaces include:

Daily Financial Invoice -- allows real-time retrieval of GM Service and Parts Operations (SPO) invoices within the last 24 hours.

Parts Order Inquiry -- Provides on-demand real-time retrieval of part orders status; gives dealers the ability to immediately query the GM SPO Host.

Parts Order Input -- Allows real-time on-demand Order Processing, including placing Daily Replenishment Orders (DROs), Customer Special Orders (CSOs) and Qualified Promotional Orders (QPOs).

Parts Order Maintenance -- Provides real-time on-demand Order Maintenance including canceling a specific backorder.

Information -- Allows the real-time on-demand retrieval of current and up to date GM SPO parts information such as basic parts, pricing, inventory, logistics, stocking and super-session detail.

Parts Availability -- Provides real-time on-demand retrieval of current and up-to-date GM SP Part Location and Availability information in GM facilities.

AMPS is an easy-to-use comprehensive dealership management system with over 20 integrated modules to help dealers more efficiently and effectively manage their business. It supports an unlimited number of users, workstations and printers. AMPS is available as both a cost-effective in-house and ASP solution. AMPS is an open system and will run on most computer hardware that a dealer has in place.
