Hankook Tire America Corp. has joined with Primetime Race Group to serve as the team’s official tire supplier for competition in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).

Hankook and Primetime have agreed to work together under the terms of a tire development and supply arrangement that includes equipping the team’s Dodge Viper with Hankook Ventus F200 racing tires.

“After meeting with Primetime Race Group, we realized that they have the same passion for success as Hankook,” says Bill Bainbridge, Hankook’s director of brand communication. “They are an excellent fit for our race tire development program and we believe that together we can reach the ultimate goal of getting the team on the podium.”

Team drivers Joel Feinberg and Chris Hall pilot the No. 11 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in the GT2 class of the series. The Viper had an impressive season debut with a fifth place finish in its class at the grueling Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The new-found partnership between Primetime Race Group and Hankook wasn’t finalized in the office…but on the track. Feinberg and Hall recently tested several specifications of Hankook race tires at Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah, Ga. and were impressed with the initial results. Company engineers were on hand working with the Primetime team, helping to customize car set-up in order to maximize the performance of the new Hankook tires in advance of the Utah Grand Prix.

Besides being the primary driver, Joel Feinberg is also Primetime Race Group’s owner. He comes from a strong background in running successful businesses and understands the importance of using high quality products.

“We race on Hankook tires in IMSA Lites and we knew that they have had success in a number of other forms of motorsports,” Feinberg reports. The test session amounted to “a fantastic reinforcement of our decision to partner with Hankook. The performance of the tires speaks for itself and we’re excited to go racing with Hankook’s on our Viper.”

Feinberg’s team also competes in IMSA Lites, where Hankook is the official tire supplier for the series.

Primetime, based in South Florida, is lead by owner/driver Feinberg. It competes in the ALMS’ GT2 class. With more than seven different auto manufacturers represented, plus “a fierce group of talented drivers, winning will not always come down to how fast a car is, but also how efficient a team is,” he points out.
