At the request of a growing membership in Puerto Rico, the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide will be holding its first ever mobile A/C clinic in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, May 24, 2008 from approximately noon to 6pm. It will be held at El Zipperle Restaurant, Hato Ray, PR. There will be two sessions of technical training that will be two hours each. Prior to and after each session there will also be time for tabletop displays by MACS members.
The technical training will be presented in Spanish by MACS board member Luis Chinea and in English by MACS manager of service training Paul DeGuiseppi. The training will include: *A/C system flushing *compressor failures and how to prevent them *hybrid vehicle A/C systems *leak detection using electronic leak detectors *leak detection using UV dye *OEM recommended A/C service chemicals *refrigerant identifiers *scan tools and A/C system electronic controls
A tabletop trade show will also be held with the following MACS member companies participating: Auto Air Parts of Puerto Rico, AutoZone of Puerto Rico, BVA Oils Inc., DENSO, Dorman, Flo-Dynamics, Global Air Inc., Luis Chinea Auto Commercial, Mastercool, Neutronics, Omega Environmental Technologies, Performance Radiator, Puerto Rico Compressors, Sanden, Santech, SunAir, Supercool and T/CCI Manufacturing, LLC.
