BEDFORD, TX (Aug. 14, 2007) - It's almost that time of year again! The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is set to debut its all-new Women's Professional Development Track. The program will be offered to those attending either the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) or the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE), held during Automotive Industry Week in Las Vegas.

The brand-new opportunity to develop core business skills is comprised of four sessions designed for women (and open to men as well) who are involved in mechanical or collision repair businesses. The AMI-approved courses earn credits toward the Institute's "Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM)" designation. The following courses are scheduled:

* How to Communicate Like a Pro, which will focus on developing powerful spoken and written communication skills.

* A Brand-New You ... Assertive Skills that Lead to Success, designed to develop women into strong, gutsy decision-makers and risk-takers.

* Developing Your Own Road Map, which will focus on self-improvement and how to achieve goals.

* Overcoming Obstacles, a session that will cover time management techniques and assertive training.

The seminars will take place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Those who are attending the CARS program are reminded that the Women's Track begins a day earlier than CARS, so remember to plan your travel accordingly to get the most out of the program. For more information, contact AMI, 800-272-7467, ext. 241, or to register, visit the NACE Web site at www.naceexpo.com.
