Air Products Demonstrates Mobile Hydrogen Fueler LEHIGH VALLEY, PA (August 2, 2007) - Air Products and Chemicals Inc. recently demonstrated its mobile hydrogen fueler as part of the second annual New Energy Symposium in New York State. The relocation to multiple fueling areas was to show that hydrogen for several types of vehicles could be serviced by the mobile fueler. "We were pleased to be providing hydrogen for six different models of hydrogen fuel cell-powered automobiles or hydrogen internal combustion engine vehicles," says Bob Kelly, business development manager-Hydrogen Energy Systems at Air Products. "This opportunity served to demonstrate the convenience of being able to safely transport this hydrogen fueling technology from location to location for special events or dedicated testing in certain climates or conditions." Air Products currently has 21 mobile hydrogen fuelers operating worldwide today. The fueler comes complete with fueling storage and dispensing, and can be transported from location to location to provide hydrogen fueling for promotional demonstrations or remote endurance testing. The fueler is also used for long-term deployments of vehicles when a permanent fueling station is not available. The fueler can be remotely monitored and is designed to ensure daily, around-the-clock hydrogen vehicle fueling availability. Air Products, with more than 50 years of hydrogen experience, is on the forefront of hydrogen energy technology development. As the world's largest supplier of merchant hydrogen, the company has a successful hydrogen fueling infrastructure deployment project under way in both the United States and globally. More than 70 fueling stations are now on-stream in 12 countries, including for mass transit fueling in Beijing, China, for buses to be used to shuttle athletes and visitors for the 2008 Olympic Games. (Source: Air Products and Chemicals Inc.)
