The promotion runs through Oct. 7, 2007, with the grand-prize winner being decided at the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals on Oct. 28, 2007. This multifaceted promotion offers both consumers and service trade customers a chance to win every time Johnson does:
Consumer Promotion: Consumers can visit
www.acdelco.com and select the "Drive to Win" icon to review official rules and to enter to win one of many instant prizes, including ACDelco-branded inflatable chairs, coolers, footballs and umbrellas. Each ACDelco "Drive to Win" promotion registration also generates an entry for a chance to win a trip for two to the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals Oct. 25-28, 2007. A trip will be awarded after each time Kurt Johnson wins one of the 20 races outlined in the rules. Winners will receive travel expenses for three nights and four days to the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals for two. At that race, each trip winner will receive a key that could start the 2007 Cobalt SS grand prize.
Service Trade Customers Promotion: Service Trade Customers - as defined in the rules to include technicians and shop owners - can visit
www.acdelcotechconnect.com and select the "Drive to Win" icon to review official rules and to enter to win one of many instant prizes. As with the consumer component of the promotion, each ACDelco "Drive to Win" promotion registration also generates an entry for a chance to win a trip for two to the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals in October. A trip will be awarded after each time Johnson wins one of the 20 races outlined in the rules. Each winner will receive travel expenses for three nights and four days to the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals for two. At that race, each trip winner will receive a key that could start the 2007 Cobalt SS grand prize.
Scholarship Promotion: To further support efforts to recruit future technicians, ACDelco will award a $2,500 scholarship each time Johnson wins. Each scholarship will be awarded to a technician employed at an Independent Service Center (ISC) that participates in ACDelco's Total Service Support (TSS) program. For details and a scholarship application, visit
www.acdelcotechconnect.com and click on the "Total Service Support" tab. These "Drive to Win" scholarships are in addition to the five nationwide technician scholarships ACDelco awards through the ACDelco Educational Scholarship Program, and will be selected from the same application pool. Those annual scholarships - totaling $12,500 - are exclusively for technicians employed at ACDelco TSS shops; the program also awards $15,000 in scholarships to dependents of ACDelco TSS shop owners.
