ASA Annual Convention

BEDFORD, TEXAS (March 1, 2007) - Online registration for the Automotive Service Association's (ASA's) 2007 Annual Convention is now available by visiting www.ASAshop.org/Annual07. The annual convention will be held May 3 through 5, 2007, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN. Members who register before the early-bird deadline of March 23 will enjoy significant savings.

Networking Activities for Convention AttendeesTwo optional tours are scheduled on Thursday, May 3, for attendees of the 2007 ASA Annual Convention. One tour will take attendees through the Shaker Museum and Shaker Tavern of South Union, KY, one of 24 villages established by the Shakers. The tour will give members an insight to the culture and history of the communal religious organization. The tour bus will depart at 11 a.m. and will return to the hotel at 4:30 p.m.

The second tour will take attendees to the streets of Nashville for a walking tour of the sights and historic landmarks that have shaped the beautiful and historic city. Rounding out the tour is lunch and line dancing at the Wildhorse Saloon. The tour group will depart at 10 a.m. and will return to the hotel at 2:30 p.m.
Attendees may use the secure online form to register for a variety of annual convention activities, including management seminars, ASA's Celebration of Excellence, optional tours and housing accommodations. In addition, the Web site also includes a list of sponsors, daily agendas, education courses and group tour information. The agenda includes a number of open meetings, such as the Mechanical and Collision Divisions Forum, the Affiliate Assembly, the ASA Board of Directors meeting and a lunch featuring the annual State of the Association address by Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. In addition, Patrick T. Grady will hold two Automotive Management Institute (AMI) sessions. Special networking events include ASA's Celebration of Excellence, the AMI graduation ceremony and the Industry Leadership Reception. Attendees will have additional opportunities to network with peers by participating in optional group tours or scheduling tee times at Gaylord Springs.(Source: ASA)
