SUPER WARRANTIESASA Calls on CA Repairers to Oppose Warranty Reg Expansion WASHINGTON (Dec. 1, 2006) - The Automotive Service Association (ASA) is urging California shop owners to contact the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to show opposition for the proposed regulatory changes to current emission warranty regulations.  CARB will hold a public hearing Thursday, Dec. 7, in Bakersfield, CA, to consider amendments to California's emission warranty information reporting and recall regulations and emission test procedures.  ASA is concerned that any expansion of the vehicle warranty status will negatively impact independent repairers in the state of California. ASA has opposed previous California warranty expansion initiatives.

For service professionals who want to send a letter to CARB regarding this issue, ASA has provided more information on its legislative Web site, www.TakingTheHill.com
