Aftermarket eForum Opens
BETHESDA, MD - For those seeking to understand and conduct e-business in the vehicle aftermarket, organizers of the annual Aftermarket eForum have launched a stand-alone Web site for the conference at www.aftermarketeforum.com. Now in its sixth year, the conference is an educational and business development symposium dedicated to e-commerce and supply chain technology solutions in the vehicle aftermarket. Aftermarket eForum 2006, held July 17 through 19 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont (Chicago), IL, is produced by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), in conjunction with Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada, Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). This year's corporate sponsors are Activant Solutions, Autologue, IBM and Pricedex Software. "We are excited that our new Web site is open for business," said Scott Luckett, vice president of Technology Standards and Solutions for AAIA and chairman of the eForum Planning Committee. "We have placed all the brochure, registration and speaker information on the Web site so attendees and exhibitors can locate the latest updates on the eForum and download it to their computers."  For 2006, the conference will feature two half-day sessions and one full day of presentations so attendees can schedule their time to derive the most value from the event. It will also feature exhibits from e-commerce and supply chain solution providers.  A half-day on Monday, July 17 will be devoted to themed educational tracks on eMarketing, eCommerce, plus an exclusive Executive Roundtable for technology leaders. On Tuesday, July 18, the full-day session will include presentations on automotive e-tailing, e-commerce solutions, data synchronization, aftermarket service e-business, intellectual property in a digital age, data mining, and an industry leader's panel. The program on Wednesday, July 19 will conclude with a half-day of morning breakout session topics on vendor managed inventory, specialty automotive e-business, and new technologies on the horizon. The early-bird registration fee for AAIA, AIA of Canada, AWDA, MEMA and SEMA members is $695 and $895 for non-member firms. The early-bird registration deadline is Friday, May 19. To obtain the discounted hotel rate of $155, contact the Hyatt Regency O'Hare at (800) 233-1234 or (847) 696-1234. Make sure to reference the Aftermarket eForum when making your reservation.
