Auto Data Labels said it will supply vehicle replacement labels at no charge to collision repair training programs at schools across North America.

Auto Data Labels said the decision was based on the important role students in these programs play in the future of the industry and the importance of bringing the vehicle back to factory specifications, which students need to learn, includes the replacement of vehicle labels.

Auto Data Labels is aware that students in these programs are being taught the importance of such labels, which have safety information on them, such as tire pressure labels, under hood labels, indicating the correct air conditioning pressure, fan warning labels, federal emissions information labels, and left front door or B-pillar federal safety certification stickers, which contain both safety and repair data (occupant weight, towing weight, seating capacity, paint codes, production date, wheel base specifications, etc.).

But in some cases, the lack of availability of replacement labels from the manufacturer, or the costs for such labels - which can be as much as $80 - can be a challenge for schools.

That's why Auto Data VIN Labels decided that making these labels available at no charge to schools through the Collis ion Repair Education Foundation would be a valuable service to the industry.

Schools can place orders online. Instructors can download standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ordering and replacing such labels here.
