The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) has several activities planned in conjunction with Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week in Las Vegas. Running Nov. 1 through 4, Industry Week includes the SEMA show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which will host collision industry events such as the Collision Industry Conference and the Society of Collision Repair Specialists’ Repairer Driven Education (RDE) Series. The week also features the AAPEX show at the Sands Expo and Convention Center and the AVI Training Conference, offering technical training geared toward the needs of mechanical technicians and shop owners.

AASP will sponsor a seminar entitled Share the Knowledge – Gain the Profits at the AAPEX show on Thursday, November 3th, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., at the Venetian Hotel. The program will focus on how shops can use communication and electronic technology tools, including websites, car care videos and lobby television programs, to help their customers better understand car repair and maintenance procedures. Attendees will learn how educating customers can add dollars to their bottom line and enhance the customer service experience. The program will be presented by Danny Sanchez, an AMI accredited instructor, nationally known speaker and CEO & Founder of Autoshop Solutions Inc.

AASP is also pleased to be among the sponsors of the Repairer Driven Education Series, featuring 21+ seminar offerings delivering content that is relevant to collision repair professionals and to the diverse array of marketplace perspectives within the collision repair industry. The sessions will be held on each day of the SEMA show in the afternoon and highlighted by a high-energy, impactful headline presentation from Afterburner Fighter Pilots on Thursday evening, Nov. 3rd.

While in Vegas, AASP will hold its Fall Board of Directors meeting which will include consideration of applications for the Association’s 2012 Industry Improvement Grants. Established in 2010, AASP’s Industry Improvement Grant program funds initiatives that demonstrate innovative and collaborative projects and programs that address unmet needs within the mechanical and collision industries. The meeting will also feature review and updates on various industry initiatives and status of the Association’s financial, membership and benefit programs.

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers is a coalition of associations which serve over 8,500 members of the automotive service industry. In a spirit of mutual cooperation and support, Alliance participants are committed to sharing information, knowledge and other resources for the benefit of the members they serve.
