Automotive
Youth Educational Systems (AYES) will hold its 2011
conference July 18-22 in Seattle, Wash., in conjunction
with Shoreline Community College. The conference will
feature one day of training and seminars on the AYES
school-to-career process and three days of hands-on
technical training organized by the staff and industry
partners of Shoreline Community College.
“The 2011 AYES Training Conference will offer
instructors the opportunity to receive credits toward
their continuing education requirements for technical
training, and attendees will gain greater skills at
working the AYES model with dealers, business and
education councils and other stakeholders,” said Chuck
Roberts, AYES President & CEO.
AYES training sessions will be held at the Red Lion
Hotel on Fifth Avenue in Seattle on Monday, July 18th,
with the technical training sessions at Shoreline
Community College July 19-21. Additional details and
registration information is available on the AYES
website at www.ayes.org. AYES has arranged for special
room rates at the Red Lion Hotel. Attendees should book
their rooms directly with the Red Lion at 206-971-8000
and mention the 2011 AYES Technical Conference to get
the special rate. Transportation between the Red Lion

provided.
As in past years, “School of Excellence” awards for
implementation of all components of AYES’ school-to-
career model, and “100 Club” recognition for schools
placing 100 or more interns during their participation
in the AYES mentoring program, will be presented during
the conference.
