More than 35 members of management from Collision Revision, an automotive collision repairer with facilities in Illinois, Indiana and Florida, attended a quality management seminar in Indianapolis last week. The managers have diverse skill sets and responsibility in the company's operation and quality departments.

The event was part of Collision Revision’s ongoing effort to apply the principles of lean management to their operation and consisted of lectured, hands-on and group training. The event culminated with an awards ceremony to recognize the top operational performers of 2010 for their commitment to quality, operational and financial benchmarks.

Lee Blank, the company’s vice president of quality, said, “We have adopted a strict philosophy to continually advance our company’s quality and process-initiatives, which allows us to reduce repair cycle-times; while continuing to provide a Best-in-Class repair quality. We have taken an enterprise- wide approach to improvement and dedicate ourselves to improving the entire supply-chain, from our first notice of loss through the accounts payable process. In our testing center, which is managed by Stanley Craven, we have not only considerably improved our technician’s daily labor hour outputs, but also increased our Net Promoter Score to 9.6, which are two of our primary performance indicators.”

In keeping with Collision Revision’s annual tradition of awarding individuals for their contributions to the customer and company, several awards were given on basis of six different performance metrics. The most prestigious award, Manager of the Year, was presented to General Manager, Jeffrey Henrikson. “Jeff has continued to impress our organization by his consistent, results-driven management and ability to extract only the best from his staff,” said Chris Cardwell, district manager. As a Manager of the Year, Henrikson received a crystal award and an all-inclusive vacation package to the Caribbean for his wife and himself.
