The California Autobody Association (CAA) will host a free webinar dedicated to helping shops understand the compliance constraints under the new National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants. The webinar will include an interactive discussion concerning multi-agency compliance for shops that perform spray coating, sanding, welding or grinding. An ask-and-answer session will be included to accept online questions from the audience.Date: Fri. Oct. 22 2 p.m. PST Cost: No charge to California Autobody Association members and guests

This live webinar will include an interactive discussion concerning multi-agency compliance for shops that perform spray coating, sanding, welding or grinding. An ask-and-answer session will be included to accept online questions from the audience. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has listed the collision repair industry as an area source of Hazardous Air Pollutants “HAPs” that contribute to public health risks under the Integrated Urban Air Toxics Strategy. The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Health and Safety Administration also have standards for exposure to the same toxic pollutants generated under the new HAPs rule.

Webinar panelists will explain the new HAPs rule relationship to other compliance requirements, and allow participants to put their questions to industry experts.
