The Collision Industry Conference (CIC) Repair Standards Committee will host an information session for all industry stake holders from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 2, 2010 in Pavilion 6 of the Las Vegas Convention Center to establish the next steps to create the Standards Institute that was proposed during the July CIC meeting.

The committee has worked more than two years to build the framework for industry standards. The formation of the Standards Institute structure is viewed as the next step necessary to produce and promote repair standards within the industry.

"So many people in our industry have expressed their excitement about this initiative, the time for mutually created standards is now," stated Repair Standards Committee chair Jeff Patti from Amica Insurance. "At this meeting we will lay the foundation and form the group that will move this organization forward. We invite all industry stakeholders to attend."

The CIC vision is an industry where all segments work together efficiently, effectively, ethically and respectfully to enable a complete and safe repair while facilitating the most pleasant experience possible for our mutual customer, the consumer.
