ChemSpec USA is sponsoring I-CAR Live curriculum for Madison Comprehensive High School in Mansfield, Ohio, through the I-CAR Education Foundation. The school received both the instructor and students disks that cover the painting and refinishing tasks required for NATEF certification.

“The curriculum was donated to our Auto Body program for junior and senior students in our school district. We have a total of 16 students enrolled in the program. We have a new computer lab devoted to our Auto Body and Auto Tech programs and the students will be able to use the software in that lab to further develop their skills and strengthen their knowledge,” says James Riggle, Madison Comprehensive High School Director of Career Technical Education.

Through this donation, the following I-CAR Live program discs were provided to the school to help educate their students on the latest repair methods:

• Hazardous Materials, Personnel Safety, And Refinish Safety (WKR01)
• Trim and Hardware (TRM01)
• Corrosion Protection (CPS01)
• Vehicle Identification, Estimating Systems, and Terminology (DAM01)
• Restraints, Interior, Glass, Side and Rear Impact Analysis (DAM04)
• Painting/Refinishing Supplement
• Non-Structural Supplement
• Color Theory, Application, Tinting and Blending (REF03)
• Detailing (REF04)
• Cosmetic Straightening Aluminum (STA01)
• Aluminum Panels & Structures Damage Analysis (DAM05)

“Through ChemSpec’s generosity, auto body collision students at Madison Comprehensive High School will have the benefit of learning from the industry recognized I-CAR Live curriculum so that upon entering the industry, they will be aware of the latest repair technology and methods," says Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation executive director. "As a first time supporter of the I-CAR Education Foundation, we commend ChemSpec for their donation and are proud to add them to the ever-growing list of industry supporters of the I-CAR Education Foundation.”
