CCC Information Services will discus the reach of its solutions into the subrogation and salvage segments as part of its presentation at the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) Inaugural Implementation Conference on Oct. 13.

"Recovery: Salvage and Subrogation CIECA Implementation," will be co-presented by Alan Aleia, CCC vice president of product management's subrogation solution; by Roy Stokes, product management salvage solution director; and by Debbie Day, marketing and product management senior vice president.

As part of its presentation at the Northbrook, Ill., event, CCC is discussing its implementation of what is believed to be the first commercial subrogation solution to utilize the CIECA standard-based interface to facilitate a paperless electronic communication process between carriers and subrogation vendors. The carrier to vendor collaboration enhancement, generally available on Oct. 23, 2009, is an evolution of the company's subrogation solution earlier releases.

"The industry vision for future improvements in subrogation includes electronic collaboration between carriers and the vendor supply chain," says Aleia. "With a CIECA standards-based communication protocol in place, there is less reliance on manual methods of moving volumes of data helping reduce cycle time and expenses."

CCC also will be discussing its plans for integrating the salvage standards into a more integrated process. "Our salvage and subrogation solutions allow us to expand the network by connecting insurers with many different vendors," says Day. "We look forward to discussing the implementation of these standards."
