The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) will premiere two new classes at NACE 2009. Damage Analysis of Advanced Automotive Systems (DAM07) will focus on damage analysis for advanced safety and convenience systems, and the training program Collision Repair for General Motors Vehicles (GEN03) will cover vehicle-specific procedures for General Motors vehicles.

The training programs are available at a show rate of $85 per class, offering nearly 25 percent off the regular coupon rate and over 45 percent off the “at-the-door” price. Class sessions will be conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 7.

8 a.m. – noon Nov. 4:
Damage Analysis of Advanced Automotive Systems (DAM07)
Overview of Cycle Time Improvements for the Collision Repair Process (CYC01)
Vehicle Technology and Trends 2010 (NEW10)

1 – 5 p.m. Nov. 4:
Collision Repair for General Motors Vehicles (GEN03)
Collision Repair for Select Vehicles (POP01)
Waterborne Products, Systems, and Application (REF07)

8 a.m. – noon Nov. 7:
Damage Analysis of Advanced Automotive Systems (DAM07)
Collision Repair for General Motors Vehicles (GEN03)
Vehicle Technology and Trends 2010 (NEW10)

Participants can register for the I-CAR training programs as part of their NACE registration by visiting the NACE Web site at www.naceexpo.com. The programs are also available to those not planning to register for the NACE Expo.

During the NACE Expo, the Technology Showcase offers free collision repair informational sessions throughout the three days of the show. All show attendees are invited to participate in any of the sessions. The Technology Showcase schedule includes:

Nov. 5:
11 a.m. – noon Repair Considerations for Today’s Vehicles
1 p.m. – 2 p.m. General Sectioning Guidelines – Do they still apply?
3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Making Repair or Replace Decisions

Nov. 6:
11 a.m. – noon Identification and Repair Considerations for Advanced Automotive Technologies
1 p.m. – 2 p.m. General Sectioning Guidelines – Do they still apply?
3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Advanced Vehicle Materials Recycled Parts Considerations

Nov. 7:
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Vehicle Technology and Trends
1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Identification and Repair Considerations for Advanced Automotive Technologies
