Registration is underway for the first industry webinar on process centered environments (PCE). PCE is a new approach to developing sustainable profitability specifically within a collision repair center process.
The free webinar, co-sponsored by AkzoNobel Car Refinishes North America and Automotive Body Repair News (ABRN), is open to all progressive collision repair centers that are interested in creating sustainable success paths for future growth. It will be held at noon on Oct. 15.
The 45-minute program will provide attendees with an overview of the 10 building blocks that create the foundation for PCE. They will benefit from the cumulative experiences of Doug Kirk, AkzoNobel senior process engineer, and John Beckworth, PCE specialist. In addition, Michael Giarrizzo, owner of DCR Systems and a pioneer in PCR, will speak to the personal and practical benefits that come when this program is introduced to a collision repair business.
PCE has been characterized as a methodology that goes “beyond lean,” says Mike Sillay, AkzoNobel Car Refinishes North American services manager. “PCE filters and restructures the perspectives offered by popular methodologies such as lean, Theory of Constraints and Six Sigma. It provides very realistic and very practical solutions for the unique low volume/high variability collision repair environment.”
“AkzoNobel’s PCE program provides today’s collision center real value by identifying processes, that if implemented can profoundly improve workshop flow, profitability and customer satisfaction,” says Michael Day, manger, collision center business development for Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. “This program is a must for forward thinking collision center managers who want to take their operation successfully into the future.”
