SANTA ANA, Calif. —WyoTech makes available Armed Forces scholarships for all veterans and active duty military personnel of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. Members of the National Guard and Reserves also qualify. The scholarships, which became available July 1, range from $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the school program selected, and are offered at the following WyoTech campuses: Boston, Mass.; Daytona Beach, Fla.; Fremont, Calif.; Laramie, Wyo.; Oakland, Calif.; and Sacramento, Calif.
The scholarships can be applied toward WyoTech's degree and diploma programs in automotive, diesel, motorcycle, collision, aeronautical and watercraft technology, as well as construction trades. In addition, the scholarships can be used toward WyoTech's advanced training programs in applied service management, advanced diesel, light duty diesel, advanced diagnostics, street rod and custom fabrication, chassis fabrication and high-performance engines, high-performance power trains, trim and upholstery, and motorsports.
"Our armed forces personnel serve under the most challenging of circumstances - especially those in Iraq," commented Stephen Whitson, acting president of WyoTech's Daytona Beach Campus and a retired Air Force Colonel. "WyoTech can give them the best training available to help them excel in today's workforce. We are proud to offer this scholarship program to help put our military personnel on the path to a rewarding post-military career."
