CHICAGO — The collision industry presented products and services to help outfit the auto body program at Kennedy-King College’s new campus located at 63rd & Halsted in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, June 7. “It is rewarding to help a school such as Kennedy-King College build career opportunities for young adults,” says I-CAR President and CEO Tom McGee. “Educators like James Warren are committed to building their students and preparing them to take their best step forward into the working world. I-CAR and the I-CAR Education Foundation are happy to be part of that with the donation of I-CAR curriculum, props, and many other industry donations.” “Just last week we moved the auto body program into the new facility,” states Kennedy-King College Applied Science Dept. Bumper covers, sheet metal parts, fenders, hoods, and outer body panels - LKQ Corporation Student support hand-outs – PPG Industries Assistance with paint booth set-up and paint supplies - Jones Equipment Area I-CAR Gold Class Professionals® designated collision repair facilities plan to support the school with donations in the near future. After the presentation of donations a tour was given of the new facility. Kennedy- King College continues its 30 year legacy of providing academic, job training, career development, continuing and adult education opportunities to the citizens of Chicago; and in particular, to residents of the Englewood and South side communities.
