ORRVILLE, Ohio– Montana Products, Inc. has announced the availability of its Distributor Learning Programs for 2007, a series of courses that includes Distributor Color Training and Distributor Product Training. Classes will introduce the Montana Products’ color systems to the student and attendees will learn how to optimize their businesses along with the latest application techniques in both a classroom and hands-on setting. Courses will be conducted at the company headquarters in Orrville, Ohio.

The Distributor Color Training program is designed for the jobber/distributor who is familiar with the paint refinish business and will introduce the jobber, salesperson or inside sales team to the complete Montana product line. The course covers fundamentals of paint mixing, color theory and color adjustment, with subjects that include OEM effects on color, topcoat application, preparation for good color matches, tinting and blending procedures, problem solving cause/cures and key selling concepts. Class dates are March 5-6, June 4-5 and Sept. 10-11; the fee is $150.

The Distributor Product Training course will introduce the full product line offering of Montana Products to the student and will focus on the importance of good customer relations through proper product placement and recommendations. Topics will cover the fundamentals of paint and its proper application in the shop, with subjects including paint coating technology, product positioning, competitive product comparisons and proper surface preparation. Class dates are Feb. 5-6, May 7-8 and Aug. 6-7; the fee is $150.
