HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Keeping up with the economic drivers associated with training delivery, pricing changes are in store for most I-CAR training program delivery systems effective August 1, 2006. Live training programs will see an increase in coupon prices for Gold Class Professionals and Platinum Individual training coupons to $75, keeping these the lowest-priced coupons available. Regular discount training coupons will be $100. The at-the-door price of training will be $125. The number of coupons required for I-CAR qualification tests will remain the same. The Virtual Classroom price will now be $60, while Online Training programs will see no increase at this time.

“We have all seen prices rise, sometimes dramatically, for many essential items like gasoline, groceries, or services, and I-CAR training programs are subject to the same economic drivers,” says Director of Business Development and Field Operations Rick Tuuri. “I-CAR takes its not-for-profit status very seriously and is proud of the fact that we are able to provide high-quality training at a nominal cost, especially considering significant changes in the North American economy.”

In an effort to improve service to the customer, I-CAR is also taking strides to reduce the amount of time between when a class is taken and when results are sent to the student. “A major step in delivering timely results to the industry will be the enforcement of the payment policy,” continues Tuuri. “I-CAR will work closely with its program instructors and volunteer base to ensure that only students who arrive with payment will be admitted to the class. Delayed payments are a significant cost of operation for I-CAR, and we are asking for the industry’s help in lowering this expense in the future. I-CAR believes that we owe it to the industry to do all we can to improve the timeliness of student records.”

I-CAR also recently announced that it offers the opportunity to print individual transcripts at no charge via the myI-CAR function available on the I-CAR Web site at www.i-car.com. I-CAR will continue to print and mail new transcripts and certificates to all who complete I-CAR or I-CAR-recognized training. Effective July 1, 2006, anyone requesting a transcript or certificate reprint directly from I-CAR will pay a $35 fee per reprint requested. ICAR encourages everyone to avoid this fee by logging into the myI-CAR section of the Web site for self-print transcripts.
