The bottom seam of front driver's side air bag module cover could be torn away in the event of air bag deployment, according to Toyota Motor Co.

The bottom seam of front driver's side air bag module cover could be torn away in the event of air bag deployment, according to Toyota Motor Co. This will allow the bottom of the cover to completely detach from the air bag module. This could result in injury to the driver who may be struck with the bottom of the cover.

To repair, replace the driver's side air bag module. Owner notification began in January.
