CARQUEST and the MOBILE AIR CONDITIONING SOCIETY (MACS) have named the top three finalists in the Mobile A/C-Heat Transfer Technician of the Year competition. CARQUEST and MACS have teamed up to sponsor a contest to find the best Mobile A/C-Heat Transfer technician in the United States and Canada.
The final competition was held in mid-November at the Hendrick Motorsports facility in Charlotte, North Carolina where nine top qualifiers tackled a series of mobile A/C service tasks and diagnostic challenges.
The three finalists are: Douglas Andrew, owner of Doug's Automotive in Miami, Florida; Tom Gieryric of Gieryric's Citgo in Albany, Georgia and Tom Massey, owner of Auto Air and More in Las Vegas, Nevada.
All three finalists will attend the 2008 MACS Convention and Trade Show scheduled for January 31 through February 2, 2008 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. The winner will be announced at the CARQUEST Keynote Luncheon on January 31.
