Aug. 15, 2012—The Boyd Group Inc. this week opened three new collision repair centers in the U.S.—two in North Carolina and one in Georgia.

The Boyd Group’s first new repair center is located in Concord, N.C. The 10,000-square-foot facility was previously known as Turn 2 Collision. The Boyd Group’s second new repair center in Havelock, N.C., which previously operated as Robert's Body Shop, is roughly 20,000 square feet. The company’s third new 10,000-square-foot shop location, previously known as Carson Automotive, is based in Alpharetta, Ga.

The Boyd Group said all three repair facilities will operate under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name.

The Boyd Group now operates 19 shop locations in North Carolina, 13 shop locations in Georgia, and 151 shop locations throughout the U.S.

"Concord is the largest city in Cabarrus County and this addition will help expand our brand in the Charlotte metropolitan area. Havelock is home to the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, the world's largest Marine Corps Air Station, with over 25,000 military personnel. The Havelock location will allow us to better serve vehicle owners and insurance partners on the North Carolina coastline,” said Tim O'Day, president and chief operations officer of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. “Likewise, the new Alpharetta center will help us expand service coverage in the northeastern Atlanta area."
