CCAR grows its GreenLink Shop Program

July 28, 2011

The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair has announced the expansion of its GreenLink Shop program to include shops in New Mexico and North Carolina.

GreenLink Shop serves to promote consumer confidence in local auto shop environmental awareness and stewardship. It is an expansion of the CCAR-GreenLink Environmental Compliance Assistance Center and S/P2 Safety and Pollution Prevention e-learning program.

The newly certified shops are:

• Car Crafters, Albuquerque, N.M.
• Darrell Allen Body Shop, Burlington, N.C.
• F. Lofrano & Son Collision Center-Harbor Street, San Rafael, Calif.

“With this month’s additions, our roster of GreenLink shops has expanded to 27 states,” said Daren Fristoe, CCAR President and Chief Operating Officer in a company press release_notes. “We salute all of them for their commitment to the highest standards of safety and environmental practices in their operations.”

Repair facilities pursuing GreenLink shop recognition must maintain high standards of excellence in environmental, health and safety practices in four categories: employee training, safety compliance and environmental management. Separate criteria are established for auto service facilities and collision repair shops.
