GEICO appoints new VP of claims

June 5, 2012

June 5, 2012—GEICO on Monday named Rick Hoagland as its vice president of claims.

Hoagland succeeds Nancy Pierce, who was recently appointed regional vice president in GEICO’s Fredericksburg, Va., office, the company said.

Hoagland has served GEICO in various roles since 1994 in the sales, service and underwriting fields. He most recently worked as assistant vice president of underwriting in GEICO’s Midwest regional operations in Macon, Ga.

“Rick has done a great job for the company in claims and underwriting,” said Don Lyons, senior vice president of GEICO. “Rick’s breadth of experience will serve him and GEICO well as he takes on this new challenge.”
