March 20, 2012—The Boyd Group Inc. on Monday acquired Body Craft Collision Center, a collision repair facility based in Marysville, Wash.
The Boyd Group’s new 12,200-square-foot repair center will operate under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name. The company now operates 12 collision repair centers in Washington, and 139 overall throughout the United States.
"This new center is located in the rapidly growing city of Marysville, an area which has seen its population increase by 137 percent over the last 10 years," said Tim O'Day, president and chief operating officer of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "This location will help us better serve vehicle owners and insurance partners in the rapidly growing market area as we continue to expand our footprint locally in Washington and across North America."
The Boyd Group said it is the largest operator of collision repair centers in North America. The company operates locations in four Canadian provinces under the trade name Boyd Autobody & Glass, as well as in 14 U.S. states under the trade names Gerber Collision & Glass, True2Form and Master Collision Repair. The Boyd Group also operates Gerber National Glass Services, an auto glass repair and replacement business with roughly 3,000 affiliated service providers throughout the country.
