Nov. 20, 2012—Airbag Solutions, an online provider of OEM airbag service information, has donated free database subscriptions to several technical schools through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.
All schools that applied for the Education Foundation’s 2012 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 grant were awarded with the subscriptions. Seventy secondary and post-secondary collision repair schools across 31 U.S. states applied for this year’s grant.
Airbag Solutions said the database subscriptions will help collision repair instructors and students understand the intricacies of OEM restraint system service.
“Technicians today need to have OE information at their fingertips. We are very excited to be able to provide instructors and student technicians the most comprehensive OE airbag service information available today,” said Doug Gan, president and chief operations officer of Airbag Solutions.
“As many collision instructors are facing severely reduced collision program budgets, this type of support from Airbag Solutions helps keep instructors updated on current technical information,” said Brandon Eckenrode, director of development for the Education Foundation. “By providing the instructors with opportunities such as this, it allows them to share this technical knowledge with their students who are the future professionals of the industry. On behalf of the Education Foundation’s board of trustees, staff, and the collision programs nationwide that we support, I thank Airbag Solutions for their support.”
