3M Launches Specialty High Temperature Masking Tape

July 25, 2013

July 25, 2013—3M launched a new lineup of masking tapes to simplify the process of choosing the right level tape for individual jobs.

The line up ranges from 3M Value Masking Tape 101+ to 3M Specialty High Temperature Masking Tape 501+ and includes five levels of masking tape.

501+ is designed for paint bake operations where higher temperatures are required, as in automotive, metalworking and pipe coating markets, and withstands temperatures of up to 300 degrees for 30 minutes.

The 501+ level conforms to irregular surfaces, resists bleed through from most industrial paint systems, improves visibility and offers sharp paint lines, according to 3M. It sticks to most surfaces including metal, rubber, glass and plastic and removes cleanly in one piece.

501+ is offered in bulk and individually wrapped roll packaging.
