Aug. 15, 2014

Aug. 15, 2014—The 13th annual Collision Repair Education Foundation fundraiser, held July 31 and co-hosted by PPG Automotive Refinish, raised a record number of funds last month, the Education Foundation announced Friday.

The fundraiser, held at Northville Hills Golf Club in Northville, Mich., brought in $85,000 between attendees and sponsors. The funds will go toward scholarships and grants for collision schools and students.

“This is the sixth consecutive year we’ve co-hosted the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s industry fundraiser,” said Domenic Brusco, senior manager of industry relations at PPG Automotive Refinish. “It is great to see the industry collectively support this event and raise a significant amount of funds to assist high school and college collision students, programs, and instructors nationwide.”

The Education Foundation said in a press release that the 2015 event date and location should be announced in the coming months. Those interested in getting involved with next year’s fundraiser can contact Brandon Eckenrode via email.
