Aug. 18, 2011 — Online registration is open for the next PPG MVP Business Solutions Conference, set for Sept. 18–20 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.

The biannual event, developed for owners and managers of shops that use PPG Refinish products, will feature keynote speakers, interactive seminars and workshops, and peer networking. The theme, “Reveal the Power of Performance,” reflects the event’s focus on how repairers can maximize their overall performance and profitability in the face of a challenging economy.

“At PPG, we are constantly looking for ways to bring value to our customers; it’s something we are very committed to,” said Jim Berkey, director of MVP Business Solutions for PPG Automotive Refinish. “We are also excited about the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and grow stronger with our customers and preferred collision vendors. That’s what makes conferences like this one so important.”

Greg Horn, vice president of industry relations at Mitchell International, will discuss trends impacting the industry and shop performance. Author Ross Shafer will talk about why being relevant to customers and team members is the only way to grow during an economic recovery. Chris Andreoli, corporate claims process director for Progressive Insurance, will present an insurer’s perspective on improving shop performance.

Workshops at the conference will cover a variety of topics including employee relationships, social media marketing and other subjects tied to shop performance. Attendees will also have an opportunity to examine their current business structure to determine what steps are needed to improve.
