Aug. 15, 2016—BASF announced Monday that it held the first meeting of its eighth Performance Group for shops that have implemented its Advanced Process Solutions (APS) program.
The groups bring together shop owners and managers who want to focus on measuring and improving cycle time and touch time, as well as improve their shop culture and communication. All Group 8 members are APS-certified. It is the first group to have a primary focus on APS processes.
“This group is unique because all of these shops have already been through (BASF’s) APS program. One of the added benefits of going through the APS certification is being eligible for this performance group, which allows us to dive right into the financial details of the business to find opportunities for growth more quickly,” Craig Seelinger, VisionPLUS program manager, said.
Other groups are based on the type of shop, whether MSO, dealership or independant. Each group is made up of 14-20 non-competing shops that share a desire to improve and grow business.
“To stay committed to new processes, we all need coaches, motivators and experiences to develop new ideas,” Tom Hoerner, BASF business solutions leader, said. “That’s what the APS performance group provides. Each meeting provides a platform to accelerate shop performance even further. The APS group is built for success.”
