MENTOR, Ohio —DCR Systems entered into an alliance with Toyota Motor Sales USA to offer DCR’s lean-based operating model exclusively to Toyota dealerships that choose to outsource management of their collision repair operations.

Under the agreement, DCR Systems will operate only Toyota-certified collision centers in the United States for the next five years. DCR currently manages collision center operations for three U.S. Toyota dealerships.

“What an incredible opportunity to be able to offer our proven business model to Toyota dealers,” says Michael Giarrizzo Jr., DCR Systems president and CEO. “Certainly Toyota understands what we do very well. Their great resources and thought process are a natural fit and create an incredible opportunity in so many ways.”

The alliance is an extension of Toyota’s efforts to enhance its Certified Collision Center Program. The alliance enables DCR Systems to focus its expansion efforts on the 750+ Toyota dealers in the United States without body shops.

“This relationship with DCR is a great opportunity to further expand our dealership collision network and provide an efficient, customer-focused collision repair experience for our vehicle owners,” says Roger Foss, national field support manager for Toyota Motor Sales USA.

DCR Systems’ strategic alliance with Toyota Motor Sales USA comes on the heels of an earlier 2008 strategic development agreement with AkzoNobel, which provides a variety of support to assist DCR Systems in building its infrastructure and furthering the reach of its operating model.
