Women's Industry Network conference to focus on talent
“We know attracting talented people to the collision repair industry is a hot topic. Understanding the myriad sub- issues related to recruiting, such as how to attract the best talent, and legal considerations during the interviewing and hiring process, enables our members to be smarter employers, managers and employees,” said Tina Clark, conference co-chair. “Offering scholarships for women to attend the conference is a natural extension of WIN’s mission to welcome new women to the industry, and to educate the industry about recruiting for a diverse workforce.”
Along with the rich conference content and scholarship opportunities, the conference is a unique forum for industry women to network and share ideas. “The annual WIN Conference has been the home of many invaluable introductions between industry professionals, students and new members of the industry,” said WIN Board Chair Victoria Jankowski.
WIN is offering Student Conference Scholarship to students enrolled in a secondary or postsecondary collision repair technology program. Each scholarship will provide the recipient with a one-year WIN membership, paid WIN Conference fee for that year, hotel fee paid for 2 nights based on sharing a room with another recipient and travel to the Conference. In addition to six scholarships for students, WIN also offers scholarships to employees of a collision repair business including technicians, office employees and administrators, and to collision repair instructors.
