Aug. 27, 2014

Aug. 27, 2014—North Dakota has the fastest collision repair times in the country, according to recently released data by Enterprise Holdings’ Automated Rental Management System (ARMS).

The data was gathered by ARMS during the second quarter of 2014 and tracks the length of time a replacement vehicles is rented to collision center customers.

The data shows that the average length of replacement rental sat at 10.7 days in the U.S., with Midwest states trending the shortest replacement time, on average. The top five rankings for repair time are:

  1. North Dakota at 8 days
  2. Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota at 8.1 days
  3. Iowa at 8.3 days
  4. Utah at 8.8 days
  5. Idaho, Maine and Vermont at 8.9 days

The ARMS product, initially developed in 1999, measures the length of time a customer uses a rental car, tracks and forecasts labor needs, and can generate monthly reports. The program also enables repair centers to book rental reservations and send vehicle status updates to insurance partners or customers.

ARMS aims to help collision repair centers increase operating efficiencies, enhance customer service and streamline communications with insurance companies and customers.
