Potential new car shoppers got back online in droves in December, according to data release_notesd by AutoTrader.com

Most of the top 20 cars on the site experienced double-digit increases in page views in December 2009 compared to December 2008.

Page views of Toyota Corolla models increased 154 percent year-over-year, while the Chevrolet Traverse crossover increased 181 percent in views.

New vehicle prices also showed signs of rebounding as average list prices for 14 of the top 20 new cars increased compared to December 2008. Average prices for the Ford F-150 and Ford Fusion increased by more than 12 percent, while the average price of the Chevrolet Silverado increased by more than 10 percent.

AutoTrader.com logged 13.05 million visitors in December 2009, an increase of 1 percent from December 2008.
