Ford, GM Approve New Pro Spot Welder

Nov. 20, 2013

Nov. 20, 2013—Pro Spot’s new SP-5 Smart MIG Welder has recently been approved by both Ford and General Motors, the company said in a release.

The SP-5 Smart MIG Welder is a 5-in-1 MIG Welder for aluminum, steel, silicon bronze, TIG and stick welding. It comes with three torches that automatically change the weld program and synergic curve when the trigger is touched, saving time and hassle.

GM’s Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac repair programs now recommend the welder, especially for the difficult and demanding task of welding an aluminum casting on the Corvette. Ford recommended it for aluminum and silicon bronze applications.

Pro Spot’s I-4 Inverter Spot Welder and the I-5 Smart Inverter Spot Welder have also been recommended by both companies.
