Service King Releases Mission 2 Hire Video

May 17, 2017

Service King has released a 30-second video to promote its hiring initiative, Mission 2 Hire.

May 17, 2017—Service King has released a 30-second video in partnership with Blue Fountain Media to promote Mission 2 Hire, the collision repair MSO’s hiring initiative, just in time for Memorial Day.

The 30-second video features former FenderBender subject Jeremiah Kuehl. In the video, Kuehl narrates his experience with Service King following a medical discharge in 2011.

In an exclusive interview with FenderBender, Jeff McFadden spoke more in-depth about the initiative and the thought process behind the video.

“Jeremiah Kuehl embodies everything the program [Mission 2 Hire] stands for,” McFadden said when asked why Kuehl was selected as the feature. “He is a tremendous ambassador for veterans looking for career opportunities with Service King. His story resonates with all of us and provides us a compelling narrative to illustrate the vision and purpose of the program.”

This is not the first time Service King has dedicated media opportunities to its veterans support efforts. The company also aired a 30-second national radio spot during Super Bowl 50. The project, which was also narrated by Kuehl, went on to win the annual Super Bowl Sound Awards presented by Westwood One media.

Service King has produced several videos for the Mission 2 Hire campaign, which have been featured on social media. McFadden explains that these have been successful in driving traffic to the Mission 2 Hire sites, which gives veterans the opportunity to connect with the Service King recruiting team.

Since its launch in 2015, Service King has successfully recruited and hired nearly 250 Armed Forces Veterans and spouses.

“Mission 2 Hire has evolved immensely since its launch. We continue to see the numerous benefits that veterans bring to our organization,” McFadden said. “They have the skill sets that match nearly every available position we offer at Service King.”

Mission 2 Hire launched with a goal of hiring at least 500 veterans in five years.

“We are thrilled to report Mission 2 Hire is nearly a year ahead of schedule,” McFadden said. “We’re closing in on 250 hires though the program and accelerating that pace every day.”

As part of the company’s ongoing support of veterans, more than 250 Service King teammates have also signed up to participate in the nationwide Carry the Load march throughout the month of May. Service King is serving as a national sponsor of the event, which aims to celebrate the sacrifices of military, law enforcement, firefighters and first responders.

“We’ve learned that businesses should hire more veterans,” McFadden said. “They are energetic, they are loyal, and they are familiar with a fast-paced and regimented learning environment, These are all extremely positive attributes.”

All military veterans and spouses interested in career opportunities at Service King are encouraged to visit the campaign’s online home at Mission2Hire.careers.
